Job Description:

As a Sr. Manager of IT Project Management Team , supporting the Eligibility Operations Product, you will lead a team of talented IT Project Management team members, responsible for client/vendor implementation projects, providing guidance and mentorship as they build the strategy, define requirements, and drive execution. You will be responsible for management, oversight, cross functional support for our key partners, operational effectiveness, project delivery (intent, research, analysis, testing, audit), roadmap development, ensuring customer satisfaction, forecasting project volume, identifying trends that impact our client/member experience and serving as primary stakeholder for go-live activities. 
The right candidate for this role should be able to empower their team to solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and utilize technical skills as well as business acumen. This role also requires the ability to lead, collaborate and coordination with IT, Business Product Owners, Sales & Account Management, Clients and Vendors. Building strong and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, while supporting all aspects of our Eligibility Operations Product, and assist in making decisions on management of initiatives, process improvements and the long term strategic goals for the organization. In addition, this role requires the ability to develop and implement continuous improvement processes, improve quality, client experiences and reduce Turnaround time. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Direct management of IT Project Management team members, ensuring team is providing excellent customer service that aligns with operational goals 
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership on complex IT Project Management projects 
  • Oversee resolution/escalation of client issues and key clients with custom requirements 
  • Work collaboratively with management team to provide career development opportunities, evaluate performance and provide feedback to promote employee growth and retention 
  • Ensure team is successfully managing and tracking several projects simultaneously using assigned reporting tools 
  • Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assigning project tasks, team building, and maintaining working relationships with cross-functional areas 
  • Evaluate and report progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects, and lead other duties as designated 
  • Promote and foster a positive environment where team feels empowered and committed to provide exceptional client service 
  • Management of business needs for future IT development (New and Enhancements) 
  • Complex Cornerstone Implementations, SOX Compliance 
  • Keep informed of technical and operational advances; Actively collaborate with stakeholders and stay abreast of emerging Technologies & customer needs, in order to deliver flexible solutions to the business 
  • Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives 
  • Use deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Preferred extensive experience in PBM Operations 
  • Broad business knowledge of the health care services industry 
  • Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company/departmental goals and objectives into individual performance goals 
  • Strong presentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels 
  • Cross functional collaboration, strategic operations, and leadership skills are essential 
  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to collect, analyze, and offer relevant insights from data for a senior leadership audience 
  • Ability to assist team with competing priorities, escalations, and technical roadblocks while fostering team work 

Education + Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline 
  • 5+ years of experience in data exchange/management including a minimum of 3 years in a people leadership role 
  • 5+ years of experience in a client/vendor-facing role
